Pocahontas bola americká indiánka, ktorá žila na prelome 16-tého a 17-tého storočia. Preslávila sa najmä svojou odvahou. Podľa legendy si totiž ľahla na anglického osadníka a zabránila tak, aby ho zastrelili. Paradoxne bola potom unesená Angličanmi, kde sa rozhodla aj zostať. 

Pocahontas bola známa ako vznešená dáma, ktorá však neskrývala svoju rebelskú povahu a túžbu pomáhať druhým. Aj keď zomrela veľmi mladá vo veku 21 rokov, jej meno sa navždy zapísalo do západných dejín. Niet divu, že sa ju rozhodli zvečniť do podoby rozprávkovej postavy. 

Jej kreslená podobizeň bola vytvorená podľa herečky z Aljašky, Irene Bedard. Tá si hrdinskú indiánku zahrala v jednom z filmov a jej exotický vzhľad svet presvedčil natoľko, že sa do dnešného dňa Pocahontas vyobrazuje podľa toho, ako vyzerala ona.

Pocahontas bola americká indiánka, ktorá žila na prelome 16-tého a 17-tého storočia. Preslávila sa najmä svojou odvahou. Podľa legendy si totiž ľahla na anglického osadníka a zabránila tak, aby ho zastrelili. Paradoxne bola potom unesená Angličanmi, kde sa rozhodla aj zostať. 

Pocahontas bola známa ako vznešená dáma, ktorá však neskrývala svoju rebelskú povahu a túžbu pomáhať druhým. Aj keď zomrela veľmi mladá vo veku 21 rokov, jej meno sa navždy zapísalo do západných dejín. Niet divu, že sa ju rozhodli zvečniť do podoby rozprávkovej postavy. 

Jej kreslená podobizeň bola vytvorená podľa herečky z Aljašky, Irene Bedard. Tá si hrdinskú indiánku zahrala v jednom z filmov a jej exotický vzhľad svet presvedčil natoľko, že sa do dnešného dňa Pocahontas vyobrazuje podľa toho, ako vyzerala ona.
