Monsters University Movie Review Finally returning to the world of Monsters with this prequel which it was great being in this world again as the first film was a great film. Voice cast and the characters were great. Billy Crystal and John Goodman once again was great and funny as Mike and Sully. I like how it’s about Mike and Sully before how they were and in a way it showed how they act with Mike being the bookworm and Sully being the jock, thinking he can breeze through everything cause college students are like that, well some. Monsters Inc is one of my favorites. This is not as good as the first one but it was still a good movie. In a way it’s the Internship but with Monsters and it worked well for this film as it was funny. With the story taking place in college made it more interesting, especially it being a kids movie as it was still funny like other kids movies but keeping the family friendly vibe. I felt there was forced references to the first one. Like yeah okay we get it. But it just continues on throughout the film. It also doesn’t have the same magic as the previous film. I would have preferred a sequel but it was still an enjoyable film added to the Monsters Franchise. While it doesn’t exceed the first one it is still enjoyable and a fun watch. I do recommend it.
