Celebrity Armi pochádza z Fínska a svetovú šúťaž krásy vyhrala ešte v roku 1952. Dnes má 85 rokov a my musíme povedať, že jej šarm ostal až doteraz.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW? ? Now 84 year-old #ArmiKuusela from Finland won the very first edition of the #MissUniverse pageant on 28 June 1952. Immediately after winning, there was a Finnish movie, called “The world’s most beautiful girl”, made of her, where she played herself. In 1953 she took a jurney around the world where she met a Filipino businessman Virgilio Hilario for whom she gave up her Miss Universe crown less than a year from winning it, to marry him. They settled in the Philippines and had 5 children. 3 years after his death of heart attack, in 1978, she remarried to an American diplomat Albert Williams with whom, as of 2011, she is still living in San Diego, California. In 2012, she was awarded the “Order of the White Rose of Finland” with the rank of Knight (first class). She is still active in her community participating in charities and involved in cancer research at the Stanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute. ?
